Breaking news: It’s still too hot

Yes, it’s about 22° here. That’s enough for me.

Today in northern England it’s a more acceptable 12 degrees C (granted I could do without the rain) while the last two days have been glaring sun with no breeze or cloud in the sky at 22 degrees C.

It’s cooler than it was a few days ago, but I’m just so tired of the heat even today’s 29 degrees seems like too much.

I’ll trade you for our 29 degrees.

We had it like that last week. I’m just so tired of the heat that even 29 is too much.

Yeah I’ve been building a fence after work, it sucks to be over 25 when you are doing pretty much anything.

29 degrees C is too much for anyone. Anything above 20 is just too much. The British body isn’t designed for it.

We often get the worst of both worlds here. We can have really cold winters (like -30) and hot summers (upper 30’s). Luckily, last couple of winters were pretty mild.

I’m okay with the cold (I’m fat and furry) as I can add layers but when it’s too hot my body just doesn’t know what to do.

“glaring sun”
“22 degrees C”
These comments don’t make sense. 22 degrees C is a nice cool day. It’s currently 31 deg C in Atlanta, which is cooler than it has been. The past month has averaged about 35 deg C. Of course, I grew up in Phoenix, where it averages ~42 deg C in the summer, though I have seen it as high as 47 deg C earlier this summer.

Here in the old country seeing 10 degrees C is quite a good day, 15 is better but over 20 for any extended period is just stifling. You’ll be accustomed to higher temperatures as you’ve become acclimatised to your environment. When I lived in Saudi I was used to the heat then returning back to the U.K. cold and wet are pretty much it.
Found this on a colleague’s FB account yesterday and seems quite apt really.

Sounds exactly like my part of Canada...usually highes off 32-43 C in the summer and can be as cold as - 35-40 C with windchill in the winter.

Here’s a whole comment section filled with people claiming that 20 deg C is unbearably cold.

It’s just funny how people’s comfort zones are so different, but I’ve never heard anyone claim that 20 deg C/68 deg F is “stifling”. I would consider that a cool day, and probably wear a jacket in the morning or evening.

It was unbearable after a while. No cloud cover at all and not even a slight breeze to cool off.
Bearing in mind today is quite a warm day and I’ve just looked, it’s 13 degrees C.
Went out for a spin in a neighbours VW EOS with the roof down.
